schools in small towns

kruzhok was a russian non-profit project that sent volunteer teachers to small towns and villages to run free, intensive programmes for teenagers

over five years, the project reached 15 regions, 27 schools and more than 400 young people. it became one of the most widely discussed educational initiatives of its kind, attracting coverage from major russian media

build and manage the launch process for new schools, from the first message from a local organiser to the programme itself

from 2021 to 2023, i worked as a project manager and curator. i managed the full process of launching each new school and travelled to the regions to support programmes on site

ten schools were launched during my time with the project. each offered teenagers a week of free, intensive learning in towns and villages where such programmes are rare
